Sakti Burman, born in 1935 in Kolkata, is a contemporary Indian artist known for his distinctive fusion of mythology, fantasy, and dreamlike imagery. Although he has lived in France for over five decades, Burman has maintained a strong connection with Indian culture and regularly exhibits his work in India and internationally.

A painter and lithographer, Burman creates richly coloured compositions filled with mythical figures, symbolic characters, and imagined worlds.
