Arunkumar H.G. was born in Karnataka in 1968 and completed his Fine Art degrees in Sculpture from the Faculty of Fine Arts, M.S. University of Baroda. His practice reflects influences of the neo-pop movement through the use of readymade objects such as toys, plastic, ceramics, cow dung, hay, and electronic materials.

His colourful and intricate sculptures often appear playful and simple while carrying deeper social commentary. Through works like Feed, he examines consumer culture, mass production, consumption, and the disposal of manufactured goods. His art combines visual attraction with layered meanings, challenging perceptions of reality and value.

Based in Gurgaon, Haryana, Arunkumar has exhibited widely through solo and group shows. He is also associated with Khoj International Artists' Association and has participated in artist residencies in India and abroad.
